About The Position
In the role of Senior Transportation Project Manager at HDR, you will be entrusted with the successful completion of various transportation projects. This position requires you to direct and coordinate the work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the entire project lifecycle, from development and initiation to close-out. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects that possess a high degree of technical complexity, which involves managing a large project staff. Your ability to produce and coordinate several projects concurrently will be crucial to your success in this role. Establishing and maintaining client relations, particularly with the Department of Transportation and similar clients, will be a key responsibility. You will also be involved in marketing efforts and contractual negotiations. Conducting work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders is essential, as is coordinating staffing and workload throughout the project life cycle to ensure timely completion of deliverables. You will track the financial aspects of projects, coordinating and adjusting work efforts with your team to ensure that all work is completed within the agreed-upon budget and schedule. Collaboration with the Accounting, Operational, and Business Group leadership for periodic project reviews will be part of your duties. Implementing QA/QC procedures and supervising a large project staff while acting as a mentor for less-experienced Project Managers will also be part of your role. Additionally, you will be expected to develop and lead assigned teams and perform other duties as needed.
