About The Position

Dewberry is seeking a motivated, self-starter for our Atlanta, GA office as a Senior Transportation Engineer / Project Manager for our Roadway group. This is an excellent career opportunity to join a top ENR Transportation Design firm. We are seeking a candidate that will have the opportunity to grow and strengthen our transportation design practice in Atlanta and the surrounding areas. The ideal candidate has prior transportation experience, specifically with GDOT. Project Management experience is not required but would be beneficial. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering.
  • 15+ years of transportation design experience.
  • GA PE license, or ability to obtain within one year.
  • Energetic with ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Project management exposure / experience.
  • Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads required.
  • Civil 3D experience desirable.
  • Able to prepare manhour / fee estimates.

Responsibilities

  • Managing roadway design tasks for transportation projects.
  • Preparing plans, specifications, and bid packages.
  • Coordination with other design professionals and technical staff.
  • Monitoring budgets, schedules, and quality.
  • Coordinating with other transportation design disciplines.
  • Assisting with preparing invoices.
  • Identifying new business opportunities.
  • Assisting the marketing staff with proposals preparation.
  • Representing the firm at professional organization events.
  • Training entry-level engineers.
  • Interfacing with clients.
  • Exercising ethical decision-making and adhering to the Dewberry Code of Conduct.
  • Upholding workplace safety and abiding by Dewberry’s health and safety, and harassment policies.
