About The Position

Dewberry is currently seeking a Senior Transportation Project Manager in our growing Fresno, CA office. The successful candidate will work on all phases of Transportation Projects for a variety of public and private sector clients, and will lead, (or assist with) mentoring and managing the Fresno staff. Transportation projects may include rail, interchanges, roadway widenings, roundabout design, bridge projects, drainage systems, storm water management, utility relocations and preparation of contract documents; primarily for Caltrans and public agencies. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 10 + years of experience in transportation engineering.
  • Ability to work in a timely fashion to meet project budgets
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff.
  • Ability to compose technical reports, memorandums, and other written communication.
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Nice To Haves

  • California Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
  • Knowledge of local clients is preferred.
  • Prior experience with local transportation agencies and clients between Bakersfield and Merced is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • The ideal candidate will have established client contacts, technical, managerial, and market access responsibilities to lead the execution of project work and implement business strategy to develop new client work and maintain existing client relationships.
