This hybrid role combines project management excellence with leadership responsibilities to guide and develop a high-performing transportation group. You will manage transportation projects of varying scales and funding sources while building a collaborative team environment that drives technical excellence and strategic growth. Requirements

Florida PE License
15+ years of progressive highway or transportation engineering design and project management experience, preferably with State DOT or local municipalities.
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and delivering complex transportation projects.

Nice To Haves

Active participation in regional/national transportation and engineering associations; proven success in business development and client relationship management.

Responsibilities

Lead multidisciplinary project teams in delivering highway and transportation projects, including planning, design (urban, rural, freeway, interchange), right-of-way coordination, and public safety, with a relentless focus on quality and client satisfaction.
Manage all project phases—from scope development and budgeting to execution and final delivery—ensuring alignment with client objectives and Arcadis standards.
Collaborate with internal offices and external partners to support project success, and maintain adherence to Arcadis quality, safety, and operational standards.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and career development support to the transportation group, driving a culture of continuous learning, high performance, and inclusive teamwork.
Drive group strategic planning, resource allocation, and workload management to optimize productivity and project delivery, while identifying and pursuing growth opportunities.
Champion business development by supporting proposals, cultivating client relationships, and pursuing new project opportunities within transportation and mobility markets.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation within the group and broader Arcadis network; lead recruitment and retention initiatives to build and maintain a skilled, diverse team.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders, ensuring proactive communication, effective issue resolution, and alignment of project outcomes with client needs.
Represent Arcadis at professional and community events to enhance the company’s visibility and reputation within the transportation sector.
