Senior Transportation Planner

About The Position

The Sr. Transportation Planner will play an integral role in the daily operations of the company and contribute to its overall success. This position will support the Technical Studies department. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in transportation planning with extensive knowledge of the systems and processes required to execute the day-to-day function of a Transportation Planner. The candidate will have excellent communication skills and some leadership experience.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years relevant full-time work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
Experience with transportations analysis software including Synchro, PTV Vistro, Traffix, AutoCAD, ESRI ArcGIS, and/or TransCAD required for position
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Strong interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

Provides leadership and training to junior associates
Manages projects to ensure the quality of technical and written analysis and adherence to budget and schedule
Maintains a high-level of internal and external communications to ensure that all impacted parties are kept informed about project progress
Ensures cross-functional quality control by reviewing project-related documents and analyses for accuracy
Review and evaluates data supplied by others and recommends necessary changes
Ensures that systems and databases are accurate and actively maintained
Attend public hearings as needed
Engage with the development of strategies and processes for the technical studies department and company overall
Support positive client relations through consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders
Participate in continuing education to stay abreast of industry trends and maintain technical expertise
Uphold EPD core values in everyday interactions with internal and external partners
