About The Position
To develop, coordinate and conduct transportation planning studies in a timely and efficient manner. To lead as a Senior Project Manager for projects dealing with a variety of planning issues including thoroughfares and corridors, active transportation (bicycle and pedestrian), multi-modal, and transit. To assist the group manager with client and project development, support related marketing needs, planning assignments, and lead/mentor younger transportation planning professionals. Plans, organizes, and manages all phases of planning work for one or more major projects. Must be capable of demonstrating creativity, foresight, and mature professional judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented planning and design phases of a project. This position requires a detailed-oriented transportation planner and leader who will both manage and run a range of public sector (city and county), MPO, and DOT transportation projects as well as actively engage our client base for new projects spanning transportation planning, active transportation, special area/corridor plans, capital improvements programming, roadway impact and user fees, traffic analyses, fiscal impact, codes and ordinances. Candidate must be well-organized, have proven project management experience, proven leadership and mentorship of growing professional staff, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
