As an experienced Transportation Engineer with Houston Engineering, Inc, you will manage a variety of transportation projects from design through construction. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related Engineering field.
• Professional Engineer license in the applicable state you work or the ability to obtain license within 6 months.
• 8+ years of experience in the design and construction of state DOT and county highway projects preferred.
• Excellent leadership and project management skills.
• Working knowledge of project team roles and responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes.
• Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with groups both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Grow and expand transportation services and clients in the region.
• Effectively lead and manage activities and people on specific projects.
• Assure that designs are in accordance with federal, city and state DOT specifications.
• Prepare or oversee detailed engineering analyses, schedules, technical reports, etc.
• Interface with CAD designers, other engineers and subcontractors.
• Create and foster a project team culture of superior service for the customer.
