About The Position

Under the general direction of the Chief, Office of Stormwater Program Implementation, the incumbent will manage the Stormwater Asset Management and Technical Support Branch and lead or assist in managing stormwater mitigation element of State Highway Operation and Protection Program (SHOPP) including Permanent Treatment Best Management Practices (TBMPS) Inventory and Retrofit Progam. The incumbent will also assist in tasks for developing stormwater quality policies, guidance, training and Department's stormwater quality program. This position is responsible for identifying issues and developing recommendations related to stormwater quality and State and Federal "Clean Water Act" related permitting in California and other issues related to project delivery.

Requirements

  • Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Senior Transportation Engineer exam.
  • You must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions.
  • You will find the Minimum Requirements in the Class Specification.
  • This position requires a valid Professional Engineering License (Civil) issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers for appointment.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a State owned or leased vehicle.
  • Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required. Failure to submit a Statement of Qualifications will disqualify candidates from the hiring process
  • Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment.
  • If you are basing your eligibility on education, you must include your unofficial transcript(s)/diploma for verification.
  • Applicants with foreign transcripts/degrees must provide a transcript/degree U.S. equivalency report evaluation that indicates the number of units and degree to which the foreign coursework is equivalent.
