About The Position

Miebach Consulting is seeking a Senior Transportation Consultant with a strong foundation in transportation project management, cold chain logistics, and export operations to join our growing team. This role will play a key role in a major pharmaceutical transportation program, supporting high-visibility initiatives while contributing to Miebach’s broader life sciences and healthcare consulting practice. The ideal candidate will blend hands-on project management capabilities with expertise in temperature-controlled logistics, transportation visibility platforms, and export compliance. This role is based in Indianapolis and requires regular on-site presence at the client location.

Requirements

4–8 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain consulting, ideally with a focus on pharmaceuticals, cold chain, or temperature-sensitive logistics.
Proven experience in project management; PMP or equivalent certification a strong plus.
Hands-on knowledge of temperature-controlled logistics, including monitoring systems and exception management.
Familiarity with transportation platforms (e.g., SAP TM, Project44, TransVoyant) and control tower implementations.
Experience with export logistics and basic compliance requirements (e.g., customs, documentation).
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or related field.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate transportation-focused initiatives and project workstreams as part of a larger PMO.
Collaborate directly with client stakeholders, including the Senior Director of Cold Chain Logistics.
Ensure timely delivery of milestones, maintain risk logs, and drive issue resolution across workstreams.
Contribute to the definition and documentation of business requirements, especially around transportation visibility, export flows, and compliance.
Serve as subject matter expert for cold chain and temperature-controlled transportation (aircraft and ground), including temperature excursion monitoring, temp control towers, and pharma-specific protocols (-4°C to +80°C range).
Provide operational insight into transportation systems and control tower platforms (e.g., Project44, TransVoyant), and advise on SAP-based transportation integration.
Collaborate with global teams and external partners on international shipping, export documentation, and compliance.
Maintain a strong on-site presence to foster collaboration and responsiveness.
Actively support Lilly’s goals through pragmatic, results-driven project leadership.
Coordinate with Miebach’s cross-country delivery teams for aligned implementation.
