About The Position

ATCS's Construction Services group is expanding in Pennsylvania! We are looking for Senior Construction Inspectors with PA construction management and inspection experience that have necessary PennDOT certifications. This role is based in PennDOT District 11. Duties: Perform transportation construction inspections on Highway, Bridges, Environmental, Traffic, and Facilities type projects Write daily progress reports Oversight of contractor work crews to ensure compliance with contract documents, reading and interpretation of contract documents to verify that safe construction practices are being utilized to produce quality results Perform field test on materials (concrete slump/air, soil compaction, and HMA) Complete documentation of materials, labor compliance, safety, processing estimates, work orders, and adjustments Report on-site activities and daily progress to the Project Engineer via standardized reporting, responsible for calculation and determination of pay quantities

Requirements

  • 4+ years of contractor or inspection experience in roadway construction with PennDOT desired
  • Knowledgeable in PennDOT Road & Bridges specifications and standards
  • Knowledge of mathematics to include algebra, geometry and trigonometry
  • Skill in the use of field engineering and testing equipment, inspection methods and materials
  • Possession of required certifications: PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification NICET Level 2-4 in Transportation & Highway Construction OSHA 10 Hour Safety PennDOT NECEPT ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician PennDOT Flagger Training or equivalent
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Proficient in Site Manager, or other project management software
