About The Position

GAI is seeking an Senior EIT 1 (transmission line) to join our Power Delivery team. Required skills include transmission line design experience, critical thinking, problem-solving, organization, team focus, and eagerness to apply learned engineering principles to solve real-life problems. The Senior EIT 1 is responsible for technical leadership and the successful delivery of transmission line designs while maintaining the scope, schedule, budget, and quality of projects within GAI’s Transmission Division. This individual should be technically focused and a strong leader with developed technical, communication, and computer skills. General Characteristics: Develops broad knowledge and skills in a specific practice area. Evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional projects with few complex features. Collaboratively uses judgment to determine adaptations in methods for nonroutine aspects of assignments. Applies principles of probability and statistics to determine risk relevant to engineering. Candidates with a minimum of 1-year of experience and knowledge in PLS-CADD are eligible for remote work. Candidates without PLS-CADD knowledge need to be based at any GAI office on-site or on a hybrid schedule.

Requirements

• Minimum Years of Experience 4+
• B.S. or M.S. Engineering
• Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and obtained engineer-in-training (EIT) or engineering-intern (EI) certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate design tasks.
• Prepares portions of plans, specifications, and other project documents.
• Performs research and field investigation.
• Works as a part of a team and coordinates work with others.
• Assists in determining schedule and budget requirements.
