About The Position

Astro Pak is the nation's leading precision cleaning and passivation contractor specializing in on-site cleaning of high purity gas and fluid systems, as well as precision cleaning of components and hardware at the company’s Cleanroom facilities. Astro Pak provides services to over 15 sectors including: Data Centers, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Semiconductor, and other selected Industrial markets. The company, founded in 1959, has performed on-site precision chemical cleaning in every State of the Union as well as several projects in Asia, continental Europe, England, Ireland and Mexico. Astro Pak is seeking a hands-on Technical Trainer to develop, deliver, and continuously improve training for our field technicians. Reporting to Engineering, this role ensures technicians are fully prepared to execute field work safely, consistently, and in alignment with Astro Pak work instructions, quality standards, and customer expectations. The ideal candidate brings experience training operations personnel in technical environments and has the ability to translate complex procedures into clear, practical, job-ready instruction.

Requirements

3+ years of experience training operations personnel in a technical field (construction, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, aerospace, or similar)
5+ years of operational experience in high-purity cleaning
Proven ability to teach hands-on skills and validate competency in real-world environments
Strong facilitation skills with the ability to engage groups and encourage participation
Ability to interpret technical procedures and translate them into practical training materials
Experience with LMS platforms, virtual training tools, and multimedia content creation
Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure training effectiveness and drive improvements
Comfortable leading group sessions and providing 1:1 coaching with clear, constructive feedback
Working knowledge of industrial safety practices (PPE, hazard recognition, job-site protocols)
Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop others
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

Deliver instructor-led and hands-on training in classroom, shop, and field environments
Develop and implement effective on-the-job training methods
Train technicians on field methods, job-site readiness, equipment usage, documentation, and safe work practices
Create and maintain training materials including lesson plans, exercises, job aids, checklists, presentations, and evaluations
Support onboarding and career progression through structured learning paths and qualification checklists
Conduct written and hands-on competency assessments; document results and coordinate retraining or coaching as needed
Collaborate with Engineering, Field Leadership, Quality, and Safety teams to align training with current procedures and lessons learned
Support rollout of new or updated work instructions through targeted training programs
Maintain accurate training and qualification records and support standardization across teams and regions
Track and analyze training effectiveness using feedback, audits, and field performance; recommend improvements
Mentor and support the development of new trainers
