Job Title: Senior Trade Compliance Analyst. Location: Chelmsford, MA. Position Summary: The Senior Trade Compliance Analyst is a core member of the Global Trade Compliance function, serving as the resident subject matter expert for product, software, and technology jurisdiction and classification across a complex, fast-evolving regulatory landscape. You will partner closely with engineering, product management, supply chain, legal, and sales operations to drive accurate, scalable export controls enablement, embed compliance-by-design into product lifecycles, and modernize the program with data-driven tooling and process automation. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, provide practical guidance at pace, and help shape a resilient global compliance framework that supports growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (engineering or related technical field preferred).
  • Experience in export controls and product classification in tech/semiconductor environments.
  • Expertise in jurisdiction analysis, ECCN/USML, and encryption scoping/reporting.
  • Systems experience with trade compliance tools and ERP integrations; strong Excel/data skills.
  • Partnering and working with Engineering.
  • Years of experience: 5-10 years.
  • Soft skills: Agile, demonstrates receptiveness to guidance and instruction, sound judgment, detail oriented, clear communication, resourceful, and works seamlessly with various departments to achieve shared goals.

  • Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead jurisdiction and export classification for products, software, and technology and maintain consistent, auditable rationales.
  • Assign ECCN/USML classifications for part numbers, and product families in ADI’s systems.
  • Manage CCATS and Commodity Jurisdiction filings.
  • Remediate legacy classifications for accuracy.
  • Manage encryption classification and reporting requirements with the U.S. Department of Commerce.
  • Partner with ADI’s Software Development team and support software releases to customers.
  • Lead projects or initiatives to improve the classification process.
  • Coordinate with external foundries/partners on classification data and Tapeouts.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain corporate policies and procedures relating to classification.
  • Deliver in house training on classification to Trade Compliance team members and business colleagues.
  • Stay current on export control and customs regulations through training and share any changes affecting ADI products
  • Support Department initiatives.
