As a Senior member on the Cloud products team, you will lead thee development and maintenance of test automation frameworks for iOS, watchOS, tvOS, and macOS, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and product reliability. We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Senior Tools and Automation Engineer to own the development, maintenance, and expansion of our test automation capabilities for iCloud's core products across iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, possesses a deep understanding of software development principles, and is adept at creating robust, maintainable, and scalable automation solutions. You will analyze existing codebases, contribute to their improvement, and develop new automation strategies to address evolving business needs. Most importantly, you are a creative problem-solver with a commitment to delivering high-quality results and mentoring other engineers.
Requirements
- Ability to lead quality for cross-functional efforts.
- Proficient in programming and scripting languages such as Swift and Python.
- Experience identifying automation requirements and designing solutions to address test execution challenges.
- Proven experience in developing robust, maintainable, extensible, and scalable automation solutions.
- Experience using Xcode to write, triage, and debug automation scripts, as well as test harness enhancements, primarily focused on UI applications.
- Experience diagnosing and debugging complex systems.
- Exceptional collaborative skills including networking, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Comfortable and adaptable in a fast-paced and informal environment. Ability to respond and react to changing priorities quickly and efficiently.
- Proven experience working on multi-functional projects, collaborating with various teams to achieve project objectives.
- Creative thinker and strong problem solver.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with AI/ML model development, deployment, and evaluation.
- Experience working with or integrating AI-based QA platforms (e.g., Applitools, Testim, Mabl, Functionize).
