Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Senior Thermal Engineer to support the design, analysis, and validation of cooling solutions for high-density electronic systems. This role focuses on practical thermal engineering, detailed analysis, CFD simulation, and hands-on lab testing to ensure products meet strict thermal performance and reliability requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME required).
  • 5+ years of engineering experience, including 4+ years in thermal engineering for electronics.
  • Requires strong proficiency in air‑cooled electronics, fan selection, airflow optimization, and heat‑sink technologies.
  • Proficiency with CFD tools (FloTHERM strongly preferred).
  • Working knowledge of CAD tools for model review.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience with thermal testing and lab equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering.
  • Experience with liquid‑cooling architectures is a desirable plus.
  • Background in networking, server, telecom, aerospace, or other high-reliability industries.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed thermal analysis and CFD simulations (FloTHERM preferred; ICEPAK acceptable) for electronic systems and components.
  • Develop and specify thermal solutions including heat sinks, vapor chambers, heat pipes, fans, and thermal interface materials (TIMs).
  • Conduct thermal feasibility studies, airflow analysis, and pressure drop evaluations.
  • Review mechanical designs (SolidWorks, Pro/E/Creo) to ensure proper integration of cooling solutions.
  • Create and execute thermal test plans; supervise lab testing and interpret results.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and system engineers to resolve thermal issues and ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Prepare clear technical reports and communicate findings to engineering teams.
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers and support cross-functional development activities.
