About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Director of the DRC, the Senior Testing Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the DRC Testing Center, ensuring students with disabilities receive timely, secure, and fully accommodated exam administration. This role coordinates testing logistics, supervises student staff, mentors professional staff, and collaborates with faculty and Access Specialists to uphold institutional, legal and accessibility standards. The incumbent will ensure a supportive and inclusive testing environment that promotes academic success and maintains the integrity of the testing process. The Disability Resource Center (DRC) implements Federal and State laws through providing support services and academic accommodations to students with disabilities. Services include, but are not limited to: disability management, alternative testing, alternative media, accessible technology, transportation, document conversion, note-taking, information, and referrals. Students served include those with learning, psychological, physical and sensory disabilities.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of ADA, Section 504, and FERPA regulations as they relate to academic accommodations and exam administration.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple exams, schedules, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, faculty, staff, and campus partners.
  • Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate staff, including proctors and student employees, while maintaining consistent testing standards.
  • Working knowledge or the ability to quickly learn of assistive technology and accessible testing tools, and the ability to troubleshoot common issues.
  • Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration or a job-related field.
  • Two years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or in a related field.
  • A master’s degree in a job-related field may be substituted for one year of the professional experience.
  • Additional specialized experience during which the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the required knowledge and abilities may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.
