About The Position

This role supports the development, execution, and continuous improvement of product testing within a high‑voltage laboratory environment. You will work hands‑on with test equipment, automation systems, and cross‑functional teams to ensure safe, reliable, testing of products and systems.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available now or in the future)

Nice To Haves

  • Typically 2+ years of related experience
  • Experience working in a high‑voltage lab environment
  • Experience with: Rockwell Automation products or other industrial control equipment
  • Studio 5000 or similar PLC programming tools
  • Panel building and troubleshooting
  • Fabrication tools (e.g., chop saws, drills, grinders, shears)
  • Familiarity with Kanban tools, product requirement tools,
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Ladders and work around large motors, power cabinets, and confined spaces
  • Visual and cognitive ability to read and interpret software, electrical systems, and communication protocols

Responsibilities

  • Build, modify, and maintain test stands including motors, power cabling, AC drive systems, PLCs, and communication networks.
  • Troubleshoot and support automated test systems, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
  • Help develop and execute automation programs using tools such as Ladder Logic and Python, with guidance.
  • Use and interpret test and development instrumentation, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, torque transducers, and power supplies.
  • Support the construction and operation of automated test stations for functional testing.
  • Apply and follow laboratory procedures to ensure the safe use of electrical power, rotating machinery, electronic instrumentation, and shared lab spaces.
  • Actively support safety programs, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), inspections, and other safety‑related processes.
  • Promote a safe lab environment by modeling and reinforcing best practices for all personnel entering the lab.
  • Thoroughly document test setups, conditions, limitations, analysis, and results to support test reports and engineering decisions.
  • Operate and train others in the safe use of cranes, hoists, forklifts, and other material‑handling equipment as required.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and leadership to meet project priorities and resolve competing requirements.
