About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join a team providing support to the 28 TES at Eglin AFB, as an air-to-air munitions logistical, operational and systems expert in support of ACC-directed programs. As a Senior Test Engineer, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to: Resolve day-to-day operational air-to-air munition issues involving current/updated flight hardware/software allocations based on Combat Air Force (CAF) requirements. Provide advice and assistance planning flight and ground tests, writing test plans and procedures, mission planning, test execution, data-collection and analysis, determining conclusions, and making recommendations, Conduct effectiveness and cost analysis; address relevant issues of CAF weapon systems. Prepare and review documents including program management documents, operational requirements documents, Analysis of Alternatives, TEMPs, program identification documents, memorandum of agreements (MOAs), test plans, test reports and test schedules. Assess a weapon system on several dimensions to determine programmatic health and how to maximize survivability and lethality and enhance mission effectiveness to meet emerging mission needs, defeat threats, and adapt to conditions in the operational environment. Provide advice and assistance with requirements development for all emerging air-to-air munitions, and their associated enablers across concept, developmental, testing and initial fielding stages designed to rapidly deliver the most technologically advanced weapon system in history for the minimum cost. Participate in working groups, technical reviews and other team/group/individual activities that involve travel to test locations.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Education - A Master's degree in Engineering or a related field,
  • Experience - 10+ years in weapons system support, including previous rated pilot/Weapons Systems Officer/test engineer with weapons system employment experience.
  • Experience with fighter live-fire testing programs or familiarity and/or hands-on experience firing air-to-air weapons.
  • Experience in activities involving fighter aircraft systems upgrades, air-to-air munitions, including integration of advanced technologies and tactics development of those upgrades and new technologies.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate orally and possess technical writing skills.
  • Must possess and maintain a Top Secret DoD Clearance (required at hire) with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI.
  • Investigation must be within the last 6 years.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in developing operational requirements, Capabilities Performance Documents (CPDs) and supporting ACC-directed special access programs.
  • Minimum of 5 years' operational or developmental test experience.
  • Weapons system acquisition experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Staff/Program manager experience.
