About The Position

i3 is seeking a Senior Test Engineer responsible for developing, implementing, and executing test plans and procedures to ensure the quality and functionality of products and systems on an Army contract. The selected candidate will design test setups, troubleshoot issues, analyze data, and collaborate with a cross-functional team to maintain product standards and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree required. Additional experience may substitute for degree.
  • 6-12 years of relevant technical experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership in large-scale defense programs, system architecture, software IPT leadership, and cross-domain solutions (CDS)
  • Agile software development, integration & test
  • Ability to travel to suppliers and hardware installation sites as required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Knowledge of office administration and procedures.
  • Exceptional judgment capabilities and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and client service skills; ability to clearly communicate in discussions and written documents, and to deliver feedback clearly and tactfully.

Nice To Haves

  • Agile SAFe 6.0 certification, preferred
  • Experience developing SW test and integration event schedules, artifacts, and requirements for Hardware in-the-loop (HWIL) testing
  • Support of U.S. government and international partners in FMS cases, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supports test planning, coordination, execution, development of detailed test plans, test reports, quick-look briefings, test readiness reviews, and resource allocation management for test events.
  • Set up and maintain test environments including hardware, software, and instrumentation.
  • Evaluate new and existing processes, equipment, and materials as an input for scheduling methods, performance metrics, and financial standards.
  • Review system requirements to ensure test procedure coverage and validation.
  • Execute tests for functionality, performance, reliability, and compliance.
  • Document test results and maintain detailed reports on defects, root causes, and corrective actions.
  • Support engineering efforts in preparation for Design Reviews.
  • Assist in the management and organization of government furnished equipment (GFE).
  • Supports hardware installation at customer sites as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
