About The Position

Ready to make connectivity from space universally accessible, secure and actionable? Then you’ve come to the right place! E-Space is bridging Earth and space to enable hyper-scaled deployments of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and services. We are building a highly-advanced low Earth orbit (LEO) space system that will fundamentally change the design, economics, manufacturing and service delivery associated with traditional satellite and terrestrial IoT systems. We’re intentional, we’re unapologetically curious and we’re 100% committed to innovate space-based communications and deliver actionable intelligence that will expand global economies, protect space and our planet and enhance our overall quality of life. As spacecraft builds scale, testing becomes the pacing function. This role ensures robust, “test-like-you-fly” validation of integrated flight software and avionics systems—on the ground and into early on-orbit operations. In this role you will design, develop, and execute scalable hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and flat-sat test campaigns that validate flight software (FSW), avionics, GN&C, and payload/RF subsystems. Support test automation, integration, and on-orbit checkout to verify end-to-end system performance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in spacecraft, aerospace, or high-reliability system test and integration.
  • Proven experience developing and running HIL or flat-sat testbeds for flight software and avionics validation.
  • Hands-on experience with on-orbit checkout and RF communication subsystem testing, including signal chain verification and link performance analysis.
  • Proficiency in Python (required) and familiarity with LabVIEW or MATLAB for test automation.
  • Solid understanding of avionics interfaces and RF fundamentals (telemetry/command systems, impedance matching, S-parameters, gain, noise figure, etc.).
  • Familiarity with real-time simulation environments and embedded software environments.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills across hardware–software boundaries.
  • Experience with version control (Git), test data analysis, and structured documentation practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
  • Systems thinker with a hands-on approach to test, integration, and operations.
  • Detail-oriented, methodical, and comfortable working across hardware, software, and RF domains.
  • Clear communicator who thrives in collaborative, fast-paced environments.
  • Passionate about building robust, scalable test architectures that ensure mission success on the ground and in orbit.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, design, develop, and maintain automated HIL test systems integrating avionics, FSW, GN&C, and RF payloads.
  • Implement and maintain test scripts and control interfaces using Python, LabVIEW, or MATLAB.
  • Develop and execute “test-like-you-fly” scenarios to validate FSW–hardware interactions and fault management.
  • Support and optimize test setups for prototype and flight configurations, including flat-sat and system-level environments.
  • Participate in on-orbit checkout and testing of RF communication subsystems, including verification of telemetry, command links, and payload data processing and throughput.
  • Capture, analyze, and document test data to assess performance trends, identify root causes, and improve test coverage.
  • Maintain version-controlled test scripts, configurations, and documentation (e.g., Git).
  • Collaborate across design, software, and AI&T teams to translate system requirements into detailed verification procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement of test efficiency, automation, and reliability across multiple spacecraft builds.

Benefits

  • Competitive salaries
  • Continuous learning and development
  • Health and wellness care options
  • Financial solutions for the future
  • Optional legal services (US only)
  • Paid holidays
  • Paid time off
