This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer in New York. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of software through the design, development, and maintenance of automated and manual test scripts. You will collaborate closely with developers, functional analysts, and cross-functional teams to create and manage test plans, execute tests, and track results. This position requires expertise in automation frameworks, QA tools, and scripting languages, along with a deep understanding of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices. You will lead testing events, monitor defect management, and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes.   • Develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual test scripts to ensure software quality and reliability
  • Coordinate with developers and analysts to create test plans and manage testing artifacts in tools such as GitHub, Jira, and ALM repositories
  • Lead testing events including continuous integration, performance testing, and release validation
  • Monitor, report, and manage defects, ensuring accurate documentation and resolution tracking
  • Conduct code reviews of test scripts and participate in improving QA processes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with development, operations, and product teams to optimize testing coverage and efficiency
  • Stay updated on emerging QA tools, methodologies, and industry best practices
  • 10+ years of experience in manual and automation testing; additional relevant experience may substitute for education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field; experience in lieu of degree acceptable
  • Strong hands-on experience with QA automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JMeter, Cypress, Playwright) and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, etc.)
  • Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI) and SQL for backend testing
  • Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, cloud-based testing solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and ALM/test management tools (Jira, TestRail, Bugzilla)
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile, Scrum, and DevOps practices
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with attention to detail and customer service orientation
