The Senior Test Automation Engineer at ICF will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of complex systems through comprehensive testing and automation. This position involves developing and executing various test scripts, analyzing results, and collaborating with teams to enhance system functionality. The engineer will lead automated testing processes, promote an automation-first approach, and drive continuous improvement in testing practices.

  • Providing testing and analysis of complex systems to ensure compliance with requirements and performance in production.
  • Independently developing performance, functional, behavioral, API, and 508 test scripts using applicable tools, creating test scenarios, and executing tests.
  • Analyzing test results, identifying performance root issues, and writing test reports to recommend system improvements.
  • Coordinating with other testers and developers to resolve test problems and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Attending requirements gathering meetings to understand business needs and ensuring development meets criteria.
  • Focusing on end-to-end test automation pipeline health and overall program quality.
  • Producing detailed testing documents, including test plans, test cases, test data, and test scripts for automation.
  • Developing testing status reporting tools and methods for stakeholders to assess system status and details as needed.
  • Leading and taking ownership of automated testing processes and contributing to the design and maintenance of the test automation framework.
  • Promoting and enforcing an automation-first approach to reduce manual configurations within the platform.
  • Developing high-quality automation test engineering best practices, test strategy, and principles.
  • Providing regular and open communication across the program and stakeholders for transparency and awareness of progress and impediments.
  • Driving delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics to identify areas of opportunity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 7+ years of hands-on testing experience (performance, functional, behavioral, API, and 508).
  • 5+ years of test automation experience on Salesforce Platform (Copado Robotic Testing preferred).
  • 4+ years of test experience on data-centric applications and systems, including creating test data for healthcare datasets.
  • Experience testing APIs and conducting User Acceptance Testing with users.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Candidate must reside in the US, be authorized to work in the US, and work must be performed in the US.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira/Confluence.
  • Strong analytical skills and innovative thinking.
  • Experience working on large integration systems and executing large-scale projects with large data sets.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in software development in an agile environment.
  • Strong experience with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and/or Medicaid CHIP data.
  • Experience testing in a Salesforce environment.
