About The Position

We are looking for a Level-4 TS/SCI-cleared Senior TEMPEST Lead to join our team. This role will perform TEMPEST Countermeasures Reviews, Visual TEMPEST Inspections (VTI), and TEMPEST technical inspections, assessments, evaluations, and reviews. Will ensure all required reports are complete with minimal errors and that all processes, activities, and reporting are conducted within established time frames. Will ensure required TEMPEST reporting and annual training requirements are conducted and completed according to National Policy and the NGA Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA).

Requirements

  • At least 10 years experience in TEMPEST, Physical or Technical Security, or Facility Inspection related fields.
  • At least 3 years in facility accreditation inspections, shielding, grounding, and Protected Distribution Systems.
  • Possess the National TEMPEST School certifications for completion of TEMPEST Fundamentals and TEMPEST for System Installation and Facility Design, Test Equipment Familiarization and Field Testing Basics courses.

Nice To Haves

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Be a credentialed graduate of an accredited federal or DoD CI training academy (ex. FBI Academy, etc.).
  • Possess advanced TEMPEST training.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the NGA CTTA in executing the NGA TEMPEST program, analyzing requirements, implementing programs and processes for controlling or mitigating compromising emanations from NGA equipment and facilities.
  • Interpret security policy and regulations governing TEMPEST as they apply to NGA facilities, systems and equipment.
  • Provide advice and assistance to NGA customers to ensure the collection of information required to facilitate the TEMPEST mission.
  • Assist NGA customers in the completion of online automated workflow process requests (TEMPEST support requests), TEMPEST checklists, Protective Distribution System (PDS) requests, and TEMPEST Countermeasure Review requests.
  • Accomplish VTIs and TEMPEST testing of NGA facilities, systems, and equipment, to include SCIFs and PDS as required by the NGA CTTA.
  • Represent the NGA CTTA in meetings or briefs relating to NGA facilities, systems, and equipment that process classified information.
  • Support TEMPEST daily operations that include maintaining and ensuring accuracy of the NGA TEMPEST Automated Workflow Process.
  • Ensure completion of all TEMPEST reports, checklists, PDS requests, and TEMPEST Countermeasure Reviews within established timeframes.
  • Supervise annual reporting of TEMPEST technical evaluations.
  • Ensure adherence to National, DoD, and Agency regulations and instructions as they relate to TEMPEST.
  • Execute TEMPEST Daily Operations that include gathering all necessary information required for the NGA TEMPEST Automated Workflow Process.
  • Conduct all VTI, TEMPEST technical reviews, inspections and assessments as required by the NGA CTTA.
  • Maintain TEMPEST qualifications as required by National, DoD, and Agency policy.
  • Maintain TEMPEST test equipment and coordinate repairs and calibrations as required.
  • Coordinate with other components of NGA and partners to ensure TEMPEST requirements and countermeasures are in adherence.
  • Provide recommendations and guidance for new processes and systems.
  • Assist in determining best practices related to wireless efforts.
  • Ensure wireless technicians understand and comply with National TEMPEST policy.
  • Coordinate TEMPEST Countermeasure Reviews and VTI for NGA facilities.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations to the NGA CTTA on countermeasures consistent with National policy and operational requirements.
  • Prepare estimates for the NGA CTTA on proper implementation of TEMPEST countermeasures and mitigations in support of the TEMPEST mission.
  • Maintain appropriate records to include Technical review, inspection and evaluation reports, VTI reports, TEMPEST checklists and waivers.
  • Conduct inspections and perform site assistance visits, as required by the NGA CTTA.
  • Advise development, implement and oversee OJT training program to prepare TSSC Technicians for success at government sponsored training.
