About The Position

The YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles (the Y) is seeking a cause-driven youth development professional to join our team as a Regional Teen Director & Curriculum Manager. In this role, you will supervise, support and successfully manage a region of teen programs operated within a cluster of YMCA centers, supervising a team of Teen Directors and Teen Coordinators. In addition, this role will specialize in creating, developing, enhancing and managing curriculums and program implementation for older youth programs for middle and high school students participating in YMCA programs. Such programs as Global Change Agents (GCA), Model United Nations (MUN), Boys and Young Men of Color (BYMOC), After School Clubs & Enrichment and other session-based and school-based YMCA programs for teenagers. The ideal candidate will be able to manage, support and provide leadership to their assigned YMCA centers and teen directors/teen coordinators, while also possessing the ability to appraise, develop, gather feedback, train/facilitate, observe and evaluate the successful implementation of curriculums for teen programs. A part of this role includes training and facilitating trainings for teen leaders to ensure that they can execute and implement the curriculums for various programs. A successful candidate will create and develop participant workbooks, worksheets, facilitator guides, presentation, resource sheets, etc., for the above listed programs to ensure successful execution of program curriculums.
