About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) Government Training Engineering (GTE) Innovation Team is seeking a mission-driven Senior Technology Strategist Engineer located in Hazelwood, Missouri . This position combines technical credibility, pragmatic business judgment, clear organization and communication of complex topics, and the ability to drive consensus across engineering and business stakeholders. The GTE Innovation Team cultivates and leads the technology strategy within the Government Training organization. This mission-driven team defines and refines technology roadmaps that guide GTE investment strategy for Government Training systems and enable delivery of next‑generation training capabilities to the Warfighter.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 9+ years of related work experience
  • Demonstrated experience developing technology or business strategy.
  • Experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives.
  • Experience developing and delivering concise, persuasive presentations to senior leaders.
  • Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the execution environment within the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and/or the Defense industry
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and global defense market trends relevant to training, simulation, and mission rehearsal
  • 5+ years of experience leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams.
  • Background in engineering or technical discipline

Responsibilities

  • Lead refinements of technology roadmaps by partnering with engineering subject-matter experts and business and program stakeholders.
  • Lead investment planning and prioritization across the organization to ensure GTE’s portfolio of technology investments align with business objectives and constrained budgets.
  • Collaborate on product licensing and intellectual property strategies to maximize value and enable partnerships.
  • Thrive in ambiguous and complex environments — add structure, prioritize work, and provide thought leadership that yields measurable outcomes.
  • Translate strategy to action and rapidly incorporate lessons learned to pivot or accelerate delivery.
  • Create value with novel, pragmatic solutions that may challenge the status quo in established environments.
  • Engage with leading-edge technologies and shape future Defense training capabilities.
