Job Description U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Technology Architect with strategic analysis and enterprise-wide technology experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Facilitates research, design, development, and integration of emerging technology architectures to align with business strategy, goals, and objectives. Leads development of enterprise-wide technology architectures. Creates architectural principles to support business goals. Consults with senior managers and other IT professionals to develop IT frameworks that support business applications. Understands and models key business processes, business relationships, and impact of technology on business goals. Formulates conceptual architectures and communicates architectural vision, goals, and design objectives to multiple audiences. Leads the development of technology strategies and roadmaps for emerging technologies, evaluating usefulness, and making recommendations regarding selected technologies. Assists senior managers in developing the IT vision and strategy. Guides and consults with IT and business management regarding use of specific technologies and associated services. Identifies risks associated with current or new technology use. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Three to five years of relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge or previous experience in Loan Servicing Operations, Document Management & Content Generation Integration and Mortgage Payment solutions
  • Expert in enterprise & solution architecture ; drives architecture governance
  • Deep experience with cloud architecture (Azure/AWS), microservices , and integration patterns
  • Leads large‑scale solution design ; ensures scalability, performance, and reliability
  • Influences engineering leadership; champions modern engineering and architectural standards
  • Strong in cloud security alignment and cross‑domain architectural collaboration
  • Guides full lifecycle delivery across design, development, deployment, and operations
  • Drives innovation; adopts emerging technologies to advance enterprise strategy
  • Proficient in Spring Boot, middleware services, databases, data architecture, system integration, Data Lake and Information Security.

Responsibilities

  • Own portfolio-level solution architecture for major initiatives, ensuring alignment with long‑term technology strategy.
  • Lead end‑to-end technical design across domains, translating business requirements into scalable, secure, cloud‑ready architectures.
  • Drive architectural governance , making key design trade‑offs and ensuring adherence to enterprise and digital architecture standards.
  • Influence engineering and senior leadership on architecture direction, best practices, and modernization approaches.
  • Identify gaps, risks, and constraints in solution designs and define mitigation strategies to support delivery success.
  • Lead POCs, future‑state patterns, and blueprints to validate technical direction and support cloud transformation.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and cross‑functional teams to ensure the delivery of reliable, performant, enterprise‑aligned solutions.
  • Shape technology and product roadmaps by assessing architectural complexity and long-term implications.
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement , evaluating emerging technologies and architectural opportunities.
