Job Description: This job is responsible for building and leading a team to deliver technology products and services that meet business outcomes. Overview: Lead the Global Design Engineering function of the Network Deployment and Execution team including technical scope and conformance to global network standards while developing relationships with various stakeholders. The role will produce wholistic network designs for Network Services projects to document the low level design solutions. This role is key to ensure quality for network delivery and stability and will work within Network Standards and in conjunction with Product Architecture and Engineering to ensure client satisfaction. The technology areas of focus for the Design Engineering - Senior Service Delivery Manager includes the breath of Network Services for data network connectivity. This role is expected to be well versed in numerous networking protocols and technologies as well as project planning and design engineering. The use of automation to solve historical/manual problems is also a key focus. The work is always in alignment to the current and approved Network Services Standards, Change Management Policies & Procedures, governance, and management policies set forth by the firm. This position will interface directly with internal stakeholders and external suppliers/providers, architecture, product engineering, product management, and Service Engagement. At times, they may interface with various levels of senior management. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are a must as well as technical expertise across Networks. The candidate must be able to work globally and on their own and successfully in team settings in various sizes and locations. Adherence and use of standards, product sets, templates, systems, and artifacts are important to the success of the individual, the department, and the firm at large. The Design Engineering Senior Service Delivery Manager will be considered a subject matter expert in their field and is expected to stay current with various technologies, organizational goals, and industry trends to drive end to end value.

  • Builds and manages teams by performing financial activities to inform workforce strategy and hiring practices, setting and tracking maturity and quality objectives, and training employees/teams to address feedback and achieve quality and performance objectives
  • Facilitates performance and career development of employees/teams through performance reviews, coaching, and creating development plans that are needed to build competencies and skills
  • Manages solution delivery and application performance in production (app health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, audit exams and reviews), ensuring all relevant risk, financial, and compliance policies are met
  • Manages relationships with business and technology partners and leads and creates followership in Communities of Practice in the organization
  • Contributes to the technology strategy for their technical domain
  • Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers
  • Ensures that execution is aligned with product strategy by working with product management and other stakeholders
  • Experience with delivering large projects and programs including network transformation, information security related initiatives, and change the bank methodologies
  • Working knowledge of application development and how business application use the network is fundamental
  • Provide deployment status updates and technical detail for awareness communications, ensure accuracy of all communications sent, and ensure any necessary follow-ups are scheduled
  • Identify possible design failure scenarios, vulnerabilities, and opportunities for improvement, and take ownership of escalation
  • Technical areas of focus are broad, and across all Network Services
  • Must adhere to design standards and global design authority processes and procedures
  • The ability to assemble professional documents based on existing templates and ability to provide accurate work descriptions with assumptions, and caveats
  • 7+ years of experience in Project / program and people management
  • Strong technical background in technology infrastructure and ability to understand and be conversant with newly emerging technologies
  • Network Technologies – Controllers, Management Platforms, Tunneling protocols – SSL/TLS, IPSEC, GRE, Network Resiliency – HA-local failover, backups, WAN/MAN, Routing, Switching, LAN, TCP/IP, UDP, Latency, VRRP, BGP, Multicast, IPv4, IPv6, VPN
  • IP Services/Security Technologies – Routing and switching, IP Addressing and subnetting, network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP and DHCP, DNS, VPN, NAT, Firewalls, threat detection, proxy, AAA, Load Balancing, DNS, DHCP, IP Address Mgt
  • Experience in Networking-related disciplines within a design, implementation, or operations role
  • Relevant Industry certifications in Network Technologies
  • Experience with troubleshooting complex networking problems
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Agile framework & SCRUM ceremonies
  • Understand configuration management with tools such as Forward Networks and HPNA
  • Experience using (both proactive and reactive) advanced tooling; Inclusive of but not limited to Netscout, Wireshark, Splunk, SevOne, HPNA, NNMI, OBM, IBM Watson, NSO, etc.
  • General experience in Network Automation tools and processes
