About The Position

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first As a senior technical leader in this domain, you will guide architectural discussions and shape key strategic initiatives. The plans and strategies you help define will be shared across departments and with Humana’s executive leadership. In addition, senior technical leads in this area have the opportunity to begin growing their people leadership skills by providing direct oversight of contractors. While the role is primarily technical, you will also participate in budget planning, procurement activities, and the creation of executive level documentation and reporting—positioning the ideal candidate for strong long term career growth at Humana. The Senior Technology Leadership Professional works with design engineering and test team to drive products from design completion to volume production release. Performs various engineering tests to verify and validate product designs. Supports product evaluation and qualification on leading edge technology components. Ensures that production schedules are followed and product(s) meet specifications and quality requirements. Interacts with product engineering, quality, manufacturing and marketing teams to analyze and provide technical support to help resolve customers' product related problems/issues. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Use your skills to make an impact

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 5+ years in technology leadership, supporting delivery across multi-application portfolios, with demonstrated budget stewardship and cost optimization.
  • Experience with open systems, cloud and legacy technologies to include data planning experience (Medallion/data lakes) and development Standards
  • Experience with technology solutions, designs, assessments and/or strategy planning oversight
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across varying levels of personnel
  • Experience with SAFe, Agile, SCRUM, or KANBAN or equivalent agile leadership credentials.
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
  • Willing to work in a Hybrid environment

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma Certified
  • MBA or other Advanced Degree
  • Experience managing million dollar budgets, portfolio roadmaps, or large scale migrations
  • Some mainframe systems knowledge
  • People management skills
  • Proven experience modernizing legacy applications to cloud native architectures (Azure), including Kubernetes containerization and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience using generative AI and training others on prompt engineering, AI coding tools, etc.
  • Insurance or Healthcare knowledge (Medicare/Medicaid)
  • Azure Pipelines, Vue.js (front end exposure), infrastructure as code concepts, and SRE/operational excellence practices.
