This role involves performing minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers, conducting regular preventative maintenance on service trucks (including inspection, tire rotation, and oil changes), and collaborating with the repair team to diagnose problems and plan repairs. The technician is responsible for maintaining accurate records of all repairs, modifying and performing preventative maintenance on applicable fleet vehicles, and ensuring all maintenance requirements for equipment operation are met. The role also includes troubleshooting and repairing mechanical malfunctions, inspecting fleet vehicles for DOT compliance (including brake maintenance), completing daily reporting, managing equipment, parts, and supplies inventories, and preparing mechanical maintenance reports.
