About The Position

Role summary: The (USA) Senior Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC, leads and supports HVACR operations within Facilities Management by coordinating work assignments, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and maintaining equipment quality standards. Requirements

  • Extensive experience in HVACR repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting, including preventive maintenance and major repairs.
  • Thorough knowledge of EPA regulations and compliance related to refrigerant handling and environmental safety.
  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate teams, manage workloads, and provide technical guidance and training.
  • Strong skills in inspecting HVACR installations, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Experience managing parts inventory, tracking usage, and developing supplier relationships.
  • Ability to compile and report budget information, conduct cost comparisons, and support financial sustainability.
  • Commitment to safety policies, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • 10 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
  • 8 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and AAS in A/C and Refrigeration.
  • Universal EPA Certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a 2-year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2-year associate’s of applied science A/C and refrigeration.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • Prior work experience with Glycol and C02 systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in HVACR teams, coordinating work assignments and ensuring quality and timely completion.
  • Oversee special projects by evaluating new technologies, identifying improvements, and correcting deficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and HVACR industry regulations through inspections, repairs, and proper refrigerant handling.
  • Manage HVACR maintenance resources, including refrigerant levels, parts inventory, and supplier relationships.
  • Provide training and hands-on support to technicians, evaluating skills and promoting best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVACR and Energy Management Systems to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Compile budget reports, submit warranty claims, and develop scopes of work for equipment replacement.
