Essential Duties/Responsibilities : Monitors and leads resolution of manufacturing issues to ensure successful achievement of order fulfillment related to cost, quality and timeliness. Provide technical support to the resolution of manufacturing issues by investigating defects, making recommendations to operators, troubleshooting equipment issues and initiating/implementing process improvement methods. Support manufacturing engineering with root cause analysis and corrective action efforts May support document/procedure update initiatives Utilizes production and/or development equipment in sample preparation activities. Operates all equipment in a safe and clean manner Assist with training new hires, cross training, and re-training as needed Carries out assigned experiments, captures data, and provides appropriate feedback to manufacturing engineers. Assists engineering with process development, prototype manufacturing, initiate production activities in alignment with quality assurance protocols. Performs visual and dimensional inspection of products, collects and interprets inspection reports from auditors, and suggests process adjustments as necessary. Provides general support including packaging, rework, assembly and hardware install. Assist engineering in troubleshooting problems by investigating product defects, identifying production problems, and initiating/implementing process improvements. Monitors for and resolves problems caused by tools, materials, equipment, process specifications and settings to ensure successful achievement of current order fulfillment in terms of volume, quality and timeliness associated with incremental parts and/or new tooling. Assist production in troubleshooting problems by investigating defects, and making recommendations to operators, troubleshooting production problems, and initiating/implementing process improvement methods and equipment in order to achieve current order fulfillment and/or to reduce costs. Provides guidance in other areas including, but not limited to: design-for-manufacturing, planning, time/cost estimates, material handling, assembly, capturing and reporting data, Material Review Board resolutions, tool replacements/upgrades, and integrations of special customer criteria to provide cost center compliance with all documentation provided and achieve 100% resolution of customer orders.
