As a Senior Technician III Manufacturing (Seprafilm), at our Brand-New location in Wayne, PA, you will perform a wide variety of operations. Primary focus is process expertise while monitoring daily routine activities of production technicians. Assists and responds to questions from technicians, provides training and technical support. Posses' advanced knowledge and experience in day-to-day operations, SHE and Quality.   • Process owner, fully trained on majority of processes and with strong knowledge content of chemical interactions and processes.
  • Actively seeks help in gathering resources, solicits input, and uses a variety of techniques to reach a solution.
  • Assists Production Supervisor in setting goals and monitoring progress.
  • Transfers technical or administrative knowledge to others.
  • Assists Production Supervisor in creating a high level of performance for the Manufacturing Group by ensuring that the daily operations are performed in a safe manner and obtaining high quality products with high efficiency.
  • Performs hands-on synthesis of DSM Biomedical products according to the DSM Quality System and established Standard Operating Procedures of DSM.
  • BA/BS Degree preferably in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or 10+ years' work experience in chemical manufacturing or relevant field.
  • 6+ years' experience in in chemical manufacturing environment that includes working with basic chemical laboratory apparatus and weighing and dispensing of chemicals.
  • Able to prepare and deliver effective reports and presentations regarding manufacturing operations.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of principles, practices and theories of chemical manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated capability to perform basic calculations to determine concentrations, percentages, yield, etc.
  • Project management skills.
  • Solid written, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess basic understanding of chemical safety and hygiene.
  • Must be able to use information management tools which are considered common place today, including Windows Office Suite, spreadsheets, word processors, data bases, networks and external communications via the internet or an established service provider.
