About The Position

Reporting to the Plant Ops Manager, the SR Tech - HVAC Maintenance Worker will be responsible for completing high priority work orders as well as performing service and repairs on HVAC/R, boiler, plumbing, electrical, kitchen equipment, and other hospital critical systems. The SR Tech - HVAC Maintenance Worker ensures tools and equipment are properly maintained and all work areas are kept clean and stocked. The candidate will perform and document preventative maintenance on all major equipment; maintains 100% adherence to department inspection schedules and procedures. They will ensure all codes and regulatory agencies requirements are followed. Additionally, the SR Tech - HVAC Maintenance Worker will always ensure to inform appropriate supervisor of shut downs or interruptions of service prior to shut down; reports all safety concerns and equipment malfunctions to supervisor and/or direction immediately; assumes and/or performs additional duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Minimum seven (7) years working experience to include but not limited to one or more of the following commercial systems: HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, boiler and other hospital utility systems
  • Health care setting experience preferred
  • Trade or vocational experience
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Current California driver’s license
  • Require at least one of the following (at hire only): Licensed or certified in: HVAC/R certification, California MECH certification by CSHE (California Society for Healthcare Engineering) or an Associates degree in a related field or Military experience in related field or 10 years of plant operations experience.
