Requirements

  • Minimum seven (7) years working experience in commercial systems: HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, boiler and other hospital utility systems.
  • Health care setting experience preferred.
  • Trade or vocational experience.
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Current California driver’s license.
  • Require at least one of the following at hire: Licensed or certified in HVAC/R certification, California MECH certification by CSHE, Associates degree in a related field, Military experience in related field, or 10 years of plant operations experience.

Responsibilities

  • Complete high priority work orders.
  • Perform service and repairs on HVAC/R, boiler, plumbing, electrical, kitchen equipment, and other hospital critical systems.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and all work areas are kept clean and stocked.
  • Perform and document preventative maintenance on all major equipment.
  • Maintain 100% adherence to department inspection schedules and procedures.
  • Ensure all codes and regulatory agencies requirements are followed.
  • Inform appropriate supervisor of shut downs or interruptions of service prior to shut down.
  • Report all safety concerns and equipment malfunctions to supervisor and/or direction immediately.
  • Assume and/or perform additional duties as requested.
