About The Position

Collins Aerospace’s Global Technical Solutions team in Puerto Rico is looking for an ECAD Drafting Services & Product Definition Senior Technician to join our organization. This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered. This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience reading and understanding assembly drawings, circuit card schematics, and assembly instructions.
  • Knowledge on Printed Circuit Design (PCD) or related tools such as Mentor Graphics, Zuken, Valor, etc.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques.
  • Experience evaluating engineering processes and providing recommendations to increase efficiency.
  • Knowledge in Power Electronics is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, lay-out, and revise detailed part, assembly, and installation ECAD drawings from basic layouts, references, and schematics.
  • Complete details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices using computer aided design systems.
  • Prepare complete production detail drawings/models.
  • Responsible for design and documentation of new or modified Printed Wiring Boards (PWBs) or Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs).
  • May assist in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of team members.
