Requirements

  • Skill Sets in MS Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel/Visio)
  • Experience with Adobe FrameMaker
  • Familiarity with Photoshop (or similar photo editing software)
  • Strong verbal and written communication with audiences of varying technical backgrounds and expertise.
  • Meticulous, precise, and thorough attention to fine details and nuance.
  • Experience with all phases of documentation development from initial concept to final publication to end-user audiences.
  • Experience with writing user guide documentation for Optomechanical and/or similar systems.
  • Self guided and driven to research supporting information and documentation to produce professional end-results.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SolidWorks models (and/or similar CAD and EPDM software)
  • Experience with SolidWorks Composer
  • XML editing/formatting for forms and web publication standards
  • MS Visual Basic for creating scripts and macros (MS Word/Excel)
  • Experience creating documentation with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software for high volume production environments.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes Best Known Methods (BKMs) and processes for end-users.
  • Capture, Transcribe, and Draft end-user documentation covering component-level and system-level optomechanical setups, tests, and/or assembly work.
  • Reports on key deliverables and statuses for projects and programs.
  • Ability to balance multiple, simultaneous, high-priority projects.
  • Works with Production Manufacturing group and work schedules/shifts.
  • Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to capture and draft content.
  • Ability to work in clean room attire/PPE and clean room environment while standing for extended periods of time.
