About The Position

The Senior Technical Writer for Clinical Decision Support at Wolters Kluwer is responsible for creating, organizing, and publishing comprehensive technical documentation for healthcare products. This role focuses on developing user-friendly materials that enhance understanding and usability of embedded drug data and Clinical Decision Support solutions, while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Journalism, or relevant field of study.
  • 5+ years of Technical Writing experience, preferably in creating customer-facing, developer-focused documentation including APIs.
  • Experience managing a documentation platform and an end-to-end customer-facing documentation process.
  • Experience creating instructional materials and managing documentation in a developer resource center or developer portal.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with documentation tools such as Adobe FrameMaker and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and version control systems (e.g., Git).

Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and maintain high-quality technical documentation for all Medi-Span products, including user manuals for API, Web Services, and flat file products.
  • Drive collaboration with Product Management, Clinical Content, Engineering, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
  • Review and edit documentation and customer communications for clarity, grammar, and technical accuracy, adhering to relevant healthcare regulations.
  • Focus on the customer by understanding the purpose and user-level impact of new products and features, producing relevant documentation, and conducting usability testing.
  • Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project deadlines.
  • Develop and implement content strategies that enhance user understanding and engagement, ensuring consistency across all documentation.
  • Proactively identify and execute opportunities for documentation and process improvements, leveraging industry trends and best practices.
  • Mentor junior technical writers, sharing best practices in healthcare technology documentation.
  • Create periodic reports for cross-functional stakeholders related to documentation.
