About The Position

Duties: Production Management: Conduct shift-by-shift Gemba walks to verify that preparatory tasks are completed before production begins. Oversee departmental production to ensure on-time delivery of finished products. Monitor issues that arise during production and lead cross-functional teams to analyze root causes and implement corrective actions. Form and direct project teams (technicians and line supervisors) to improve product quality and reduce manufacturing costs. Equipment Maintenance & Management: Coordinate with the Maintenance Department to schedule and supervise preventive maintenance on production equipment. Track equipment utilization, analyze recurring problems, and drive corrective actions. Develop and implement operator training plans on proper equipment use. Cost Control & Budgeting: Help develop the department’s annual budget based on sales forecasts and production plans and report monthly cost and output metrics to management. Monitor budget performance and introduce corrective measures when variances occur. Personnel Management & Training: Establish employee work schedules, training content, and training cycles. Conduct annual performance evaluations, track effectiveness of employees’ work, and approve merit-increase recommendations. Request additional staffing, oversee onboarding and training, and manage internal transfers and promotions. Issue written warnings to employees who violate regulations or fail to complete tasks on time. 5S and TPM Implementation: Train team members on 5S (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke) responsibilities and cleaning standards. Lead weekly 5S/TPM audits, document findings, and drive continuous improvement plans.

Requirements

  • Two years of full-time experience as a Pre-processing Supervisor or Technician in the automotive glass manufacturing industry and 2 years’ experience in each of the following:
  • Operating Bystronic glass pre-processing equipment, including independently performing machine start-up, shutdown, product changeovers, and parameter adjustments.
  • Providing on-the-job training and hands-on instruction to production staff, including assisting new employees in learning operating procedures and quality standards.
  • Participating in new product development for pre-processing, including designing cutting patterns, modifying cutting dimensions, and producing sample pieces for trials.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
