The Radiological Control Division provides radiological expertise through field-deployed technical personnel. It maintains an accredited personnel monitoring service, an instrumentation and calibration facility, and expertise in radiological engineering and nuclear materials management. The Instrumentation and Calibration Group Leader manages the Laboratory’s radiological instrumentation and calibration program, serving as the technical authority for instrument selection, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management. This role ensures all radiological instruments meet DOE requirements, accreditation standards, and performance expectations. The Group Leader also leads technical staff and supports Laboratory-wide instrumentation initiatives, reporting to the Radiological Control Manager.
