About The Position

AbbVie's Talent Acquisition organization has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technical Sourcer to support the Business Technology Solutions organization within AbbVie. Sourcing will be focused on AbbVie's Business Technology Solutions (BTS) organization, supporting specialized areas such as data science, AI/ML, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise platforms, as well as other areas as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of technical sourcing experience in a fast-paced, global corporate or agency environment; 10+ years preferred.
  • Proven success in sourcing complex IT and digital roles such as software engineering, cybersecurity, AI/ML, data science, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Boolean logic, market mapping, and the use of advanced sourcing tools and techniques (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, HireEZ, SeekOut, GitHub, Google X-ray search).
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate BTS organizational needs into actionable sourcing strategies.
  • Experience providing talent intelligence, competitive insights, and diversity analytics to influence hiring decisions and workforce planning.
  • Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (SmartRecruiters preferred) and CRM tools for building and maintaining candidate pipelines.
  • Experience within healthcare, pharmaceutical, or technology industries strongly preferred.
  • Ability to build credibility with senior leaders, influence without authority, and deliver results in a globally matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive sourcing strategies and building diverse candidate slates.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, engages, and attracts top technical talent and develops a strong, qualified candidate pool for current and future openings.
  • Builds and executes targeted sourcing strategies, manages talent mapping projects, and leverages advanced research tools, platforms, and professional networks to deliver qualified talent pipelines aligned with AbbVie's technology roadmap.
  • Partners closely with BTS recruiters, hiring managers, and business leaders to ensure sourcing efforts align with critical workforce priorities, future skill needs, and AbbVie's organizational goals.
  • Demonstrates the ability to proactively identify, engage, and nurture talent pools aligned to emerging technologies and digital transformation priorities.
  • Builds and maintains a continuous flow of prospective candidates through direct sourcing, market intelligence, and long-term relationship management.
  • Manages and maintains accurate data within SmartRecruiters (or similar ATS/CRM), track sourcing metrics, and report key insights and accomplishments.
  • Compiles and communicates knowledge of the external technology talent market including competitive intelligence, talent availability, compensation trends, and location strategy insights to inform recruiting strategies and workforce planning discussions.
  • Ensures compliance with global data privacy regulations, state/federal employment laws, and AbbVie policies and practices related to candidate data management.
  • Establishes a trusted partnership with BTS recruiting and business leadership, providing consultative expertise on technical talent markets, sourcing methodologies, and strategies to attract niche, high-impact talent.
