About The Position

We provide the infrastructure and services that enable developers to build next generation applications. As a presales solutions engineer (Sr. TSA) you'll define cloud/Linode solutions during the sales lifecycle. Guiding customers through strategic and technical cloud transformation decisions while driving Linode service adoption. You'll serve as a thought-leader in cloud computing within Akamai and externally.

Requirements

• 8 years experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive professional experience including relevant experience in customer-facing technical roles with cloud-related organizations.
• Extensive experience in architecting IaaS solutions for customers.
• Certifications from AWS, GCP, Azure, Oracle, CNCF, etc.
• Expertise in Kubernetes, cloud networking, database, storage, AI, IaC, gaming, or media.
• Experience and practical skills in open-source software like Apache, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Nginx, Terraform, etc.
• Ability to communicate complex technical content effectively through writing, speaking, and presenting to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Driving Linode opportunities as a cloud pre-sales engineer, supporting accounts, and owning technical sales efforts.
• Ensuring customer success and Linode consumption within the integrated account team.
• Driving innovation in solutions and products while promoting trends and influencing the global product roadmap.
• Building technical expertise in Cloud Computing/Linode to support Akamai's overall business growth.
