As a Senior Technical Reviewer - Water, you will be responsible for ensuring that technical decisions related to product design, testing, and evaluations meet applicable standard requirements and comply with certification policies, in support of applications for NSF Certification and/or registration services. Responsibilities Perform and approve routine and complex technical reviews involving product design, function, and schedule of materials. Compile, review, and interpret product drawings, product literature, material information, and chemical information submitted in support of applications for certification and/or registration services. Verify that testing, sampling, evaluation, and documentation for certification or registration services conform to the applicable standard requirements, certification policies, and are based on sound scientific principles. Evaluate and approve changes to certified products and determine material extraction and lead content testing requirements. Review and determine compliance of test results Interpret standards and policies to determine new bracketing, testing, or evaluation schemes for novel products. Evaluate root cause, corrective action, and preventative action in order to resolve product non-compliances. Interact with internal staff and clients to problem solve and provide excellent customer service. Act as a mentor, perform peer-review, and provide feedback to other staff in support of program quality assurance and KPI goals. Support new business development initiatives through approval of project quotations, and technical discussions with potential clients. Lead and participate in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in various standards development activities, technical committees, and issue paper submittals. Perform other duties as assigned. #LI-CB1 Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, natural or physical sciences, or engineering. High level of technical aptitude. Demonstrated experience in problem solving and analytical thinking. College-level coursework in inorganic and organic chemistry. Working knowledge of NSF standards. Demonstrated ability to manage workflow in a fast-paced service environment. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills. Preferred Skills Master’s degree in natural or physical sciences, environmental health, public health, or engineering Experience applying NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 for product certification Experience mentoring or training in a technical or science field Significant experience as an NSF Technical Reviewer
