The US base salary range for this full-time position is $221,000-$311,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience in software development life cycle (SDLC) management, technical program management, and business operations.
  • Experience with cross-functional stakeholder management and leadership through influence.

Nice To Haves

  • 10 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with systems thinking and design systems.
  • Ability to run and deliver results on technical projects across distributed sites under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a distributed team of cross-functional Discover and Search Leads to drive strategy, planning, operations, and execution of the portfolio.
  • Partner closely with Executive Stakeholders, Engineering, Product Management, User Experience (UX), and Operations (Ops) Engineering, while coordinating more broadly with partners in other parts of Search or Google.
  • Create clarity, bring visibility, and strengthen communication across the teams to bridge seamless communication between the involved contributing teams.
  • Lead and mentor project staff and team members; as a executive member of the organization, serve as a mentor, formally or informally, to coach and foster a strong, cohesive culture among Technical Program Managers (TPMs).
  • Proactively derisk delivery of the committed Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and manage execution of the corresponding portfolio to deliver in the context of larger Search goals.
