About The Position

Role Overview: As McAfee continues to evolve into a consumer-centric business, Technical Program Managers play a pivotal role in driving key Product and Engineering initiatives towards successful launches. In this role, you will serve as the Senior Technical Program Manager for Payments, responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery, governance, and optimization of McAfee’s global payments portfolio. This Senior Technical Program Manager will be an important member of our eCommerce Technical Program Management team, supporting new AI-driven features and product launches. You will report to the Director, Technical Program Management, eCommerce You will own the end-to-end delivery of the payment’s portfolio, including subscription payments, fraud detection, compliance, and supporting platforms, ensuring initiatives are planned, aligned, and executed against business and customer objectives. Rather than owning product strategy directly, you will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Payments & Fraud Operations, and external payment providers to translate product and business strategy into executable plans and ensure high-quality, scalable outcomes to ensure that McAfee’s subscription payment solutions meet customer expectations, comply with regulatory standards, and achieve business targets across global markets. Your goal is to ensure the successful implementation, adoption, and ongoing evolution of McAfee’s payments and checkout capabilities, enabling secure, compliant, and high-performing subscription experiences for customers worldwide while supporting long-term business growth. This is a Hybrid position located at our Frisco, TX office. You will be required to be on-site 2 to 3 days per week. When you are not working on-site, you will be working from your home office. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to Frisco, TX and are not offering relocation assistance at this time

Requirements

  • 9+ years of technical project or program management experience in driving consumer-centric applications with at least 5 years driving product launches for eCommerce products.
  • Strong understanding of payments ecosystem: subscriptions and billing, checkout flow, PSPs, recurring billing, fraud detection, tax, and compliance driven systems
  • Must have experience in planning, organizing, and executing projects related to messaging and Payment platforms.
  • Familiarity with payment regulations (i.e. PCI) and compliance processes.
  • Experience with PSP integration, Vendor management, tokenization.
  • Strong technical orientation and solid understanding of Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC).
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex technical efforts.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and conflict management skills with the ability to articulate concepts and rationale to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working with multiple global time zones.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with checkout, Adobe eCommerce Suite, Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Experience Manager is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive Payments related eCommerce portfolio and critical programs, including Payment Service Provider (PSP) integrations, recurring billing and subscription lifecycle management, fraud prevention, chargebacks, tax calculation, and compliance driven initiatives (e.g., regional regulations, payment standards).
  • Drive continuous improvement across checkout conversion, payment success rates, failure handling, and operational resiliency, using data and operational insights to prioritize execution.
  • Partner with payment fraud, and legal teams to ensure payment initiatives meet fraud prevention, data protection, tax accuracy, and regulatory compliance requirements, while maintaining a seamless customer checkout experience.
  • Act as the program interface with external PSPs and payment vendors, maintaining constant communication, coordinating integrations, upgrades, migrations, and operational changes while managing, timelines, risks, and contractual dependencies.
  • Collaborate with payment and fraud operations, product managers, designers, and engineers across McAfee to establish a shared vision for improving execution and building solutions.
  • Conduct and mandate thorough testing to ensure the Payment platform functions correctly and to identify potential issues before launch.
  • Work with engineering, analytics, product management to define key performance Indicators to analyze payment platform success.
  • Manage issues and risks, create mitigation plans, escalate to appropriate stakeholders and produce program reports for executive leadership.
  • Ability to tackle complex challenges, think critically, work cross-functionally, and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Experience managing programs with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Oversee multi-channel and multi focus initiatives across the consumer organization.
  • Interface regularly with global and geo marketing teams to coordinate marketing campaigns and bring visibility to internal stakeholders.
