Information Systems and Cyber Division (ISCD) staff couple the latest in information system technologies, such as elastic compute clouds, containerization, microservices, real-time operating systems, and visualization frameworks, with expertise in cyber security, software architecture, software engineering, data science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), process improvement, and software development to deliver responsive, resilient, high-performance software intensive systems to our Intelligence Community, DoD, and civilian customers. The Cloud Platforms & Architectures Department (CPAD) is the center-of-excellence for cloud computing and cloud-related technologies within The Aerospace Corporation. CPAD’s overall goal is to stay at the forefront of cloud technology to enable our customers to effectively leverage it to fulfill their space mission needs. CPAD works with other organizations within ISCD to build innovative IT infrastructure solutions in support of software, cybersecurity, data, and AI research and prototyping efforts. We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager (Senior Project Leader, Cyber s ecurity Architecture & Cloud Computing Architecture ) to lead the development of this infrastructure, helping to bring together stakeholders from across the enterprise in order to create modern IT infrastructure solutions that effectively meet mission needs . This role will provide corporate cloud and cybersecurity leadership to develop and sustain a vision for the next generation of IT infrastructure to support government space missions. This is a fulltime position that can be based in El Segundo, CA, or Chantilly V A which require s 100% onsite work.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , software engineering, or a related STEM field.
At least 12 years of experience working with software, IT systems, and related technologies.
At least 5 years of experience working with cloud and cybersecurity systems.
Proven track record of leading engineering teams, coordinating complex technical tasks among team members, and translating customer needs into viable instructions for engineers.
Demonstrated ability to initiate and complete tasks, learn new technical approaches, and interact effectively with a broad range of organizations.
Successful history of promoting positive team dynamics, mentoring team members, and working effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
In depth knowledge of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, roadmaps, and risk management.
In depth knowledge and hands on experience with at least one public cloud vendor (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
Experience in designing, developing, implementing, operating , and evolving IT infrastructure systems in support of technical users.
Willing to travel domestically to work locations and customer sites up to 15 %, if .
This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is to obtain a security clearance.

Certifications related to cloud computing (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Engineer).
Certifications related to cybersecurity (e.g., Security+, CISSP).

Responsibilities

Own the strategy, planning, and execution for modern IT infrastructure for s oftware, cybersecurity, cloud, data, and AI systems in support of government space missions.
Work across intradivision stakeholders to assess IT infrastructure needs for software, cybersecurity, cloud, data, and AI research and prototyping.
Collaborate with cloud, cybersecurity, and IT experts and leadership across departments to build cross-functional technical teams to achieve project goals.
Lead teams researching cutting edge I T infrastructure technologies and developing prototypes to demonstrate and benchmark their capabilities for government space missions.
Collaborate with mission owners to integrate space-based platforms (e.g., small satellites) into software, cybersecurity, cloud, data, and AI research and prototyping environments.
Create and deliver presentations to internal teams, executives, and external stakeholders.

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
(Min - Max) $171,400.00 - $257,100.00
