As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.   • Lead delivery projects including passive network design, material planning, equipment installation, and turn up of equipment to be ready to serve traffic.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive goal for the US Alphanet delivery team, aligning with overall EdgeCapacity, Google Global Infrastructure (GGI) and company goals and objectives.
  • Identify and implement solutions to optimize the end-to-end project delivery to be market engaged for lead-time, predictability, quality and cost.
  • Advocate a culture of proactive risk mitigation and continuous improvement.
  • Identify, mentor, and develop high-potential program managers and engineers, preparing them for future roles within the organization or with peer organizations in Google.
  • Establish clear performance metrics and provide regular feedback to drive individual and team performance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience working with networking technologies within a data center or telecommunications industry.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in preparing customer solutions and bids.
  • Experience in implementing process improvement methodologies to drive efficiency and scale across multiple teams.
  • Experience with motivating teams and individuals to change as the business environment changes.
  • Ability to lead and inspire geographically dispersed teams, build strong relationships, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to translate business objectives into initiatives and execute on them.
