Meet The Team:
The Technical Product Management (TPM) Team drives alignment through a technology roadmap, accelerating our corporate milestones by focusing our development teams on the most critical items on our path to a milestone. We do this through cross-functional coordination with all teams in technology: driving decisions, defining measurable acceptance criteria, and building shared accountability with stakeholders to agree on deliverables and timelines. We collaborate with other TPMs to manage dependencies to deliver corporate milestones. By rallying ourselves around a plan, TPMs will predict outcomes before they happen: unblocking dependencies in advance, managing risk proactively, and anticipating resource or staffing gaps to accomplish our goals. As our plans or goals update, TPMs leverage best practices around change management, further driving alignment, decision making, and documentation across Torc. Lastly, we partner with engineering teams to maintain accountability, providing clear updates and shared action items that help everyone stay informed on the health of our technology roadmap.
What You'll Do:
As a Technical Product Manager leading Metrics, Mission Management, Product Safety Assurance, and Regulatory workstreams, you will serve as a conduit between the needs of Regulatory, Engineering, Safety, and other critical functions. You will demonstrate the following with proficiency:
Identify and prioritize the needs for these workstreams and work with other TPMs and engineering leaders to ensure timely design and implementation into E/E systems as well as operational safety.
Represent these areas to build cross-functional plans, define and verify acceptance criteria, drive alignment, and deliver these workstream's Outcomes on the Technology Roadmap to enable critical product milestones.
Vigilantly work to reconcile gaps in timelines, focus leadership attention, and proactively address dependencies, risks, and change management. You will leverage this roadmap, partnering with other TPMs and engineering leadership to inform the short and long-term priorities of these workstreams to support engineering in advancing our company’s milestones.
Apply best practices in program management and engineering expertise to report status to leadership, initiate escalations, drive timely execution on the Technology Roadmap including its dependencies, risks, and changes.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, or Technical Program Manager in autonomous vehicles, robotics, automotive, or similar industries.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related technical field plus demonstrates competences and technical proficiencies typically acquired through 6+ years of experience OR;
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related technical field plus demonstrates competences and technical proficiencies typically acquired through 3+ years of experience
• A strong track record of driving execution of cross-functional programs and communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience managing a cross-functional roadmap, including the dependencies, risks, and change management
• Strong active listening, negotiation, and prioritization skills
• Ability to provide clear, well-structured, and concise communications tailored to different audiences
• The desire to grow your technical and program skillsets in an ever-evolving industry

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the Autonomous Vehicle Industry
• Experience integrating safety case, regulatory requirements and acceptance criteria into software design
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Miro
