As a(n) Senior Technical Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Providing direct technical leadership and people management for one or more software development teams (e.g., Developers and Quality Assurance), including hiring, setting goals, assigning work, coaching, and performance management. Partnering with Product Owners, Product Analysts, Business Managers, and Architects to define technical direction, manage the team’s backlog, and deliver enhancements while architecting and developing a modern replacement technology stack. Mentoring development staff on analysis, software design, coding, debugging, test automation, documentation, support, and infrastructure maintenance, while championing engineering best practices and automation. Leading and participating in cross-functional, Agile teams to drive predictable delivery, quality, continuous improvement, and effective change and conflict management during technology transformation. Driving the overall technical competence of the engineering team by researching new technologies, informing architecture decisions, and developing a strategic and technical roadmap that supports business needs, efficiency, scalability, and growth.

  • Driving the overall technical competence of the engineering team by researching new technologies, informing architecture decisions, and developing a strategic and technical roadmap that supports business needs, efficiency, scalability, and growth.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline from an accredited institution AND a minimum of twelve (12) years of software development experience and technical leadership OR High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution AND a minimum of sixteen (16) years of combined experience in software development and technical leadership
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional software teams delivering complex applications
  • Experience in an executive or senior engineering leadership role
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other major cloud platforms
  • Experience consuming and/or building web services and web applications (e.g., SOAP/REST, JavaScript, Angular or similar frameworks)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices and hands-on experience with Java software development
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational database design, and strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, including working with geographically distributed teams
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems in a logical, methodical, and time-efficient manner
  • Ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences and translate business direction into clear, inspiring guidance for technical teams
