About The Position

At Corbion, we exist to champion preservation in all its forms, preserving food and food production, health, and our planet.  Corbion is seeking a Sr. Technical Engineer to join our North American IT Infrastructure team based at our Lenexa, KS office.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or a minimum of 10 years of equivalent work experience in technical/computer field.
  • MCSE/MCSA/CCNA/VCP6.5 Certification.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols and standards related to VPN/MPLS.
  • Knowledge of telecommunication systems and components including VOIP technologies.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies, platforms and systems.
  • Ability to work with regional and global IT teams and engage in team efforts to solve issues.
  • Experience working in global company with diverse cultures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic Project Management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for configuration, implementation and maintenance of all Corbion systems across North America including servers, network infrastructure, telephony, and virtualization.
  • Technical lead on infrastructure projects to develop specifications and technical guidance.
  • Provide technical standards for implementation.
  • Maintain and manage infrastructure equipment.
  • Manage all aspects of regional servers' maintenance, monitor performance, security patches,  system upgrades to keep servers and network components in line with company standards
  • Work with external vendors and suppliers to facilitate service and support efforts for existing systems and applications.
  • Manage system backup operations, virus prevention and intrusion detection systems.
  • Administer desktop and MAC support
  • Coordinate change management process and meet service desk SLAs for end user support.
  • Manage local IT systems on Linux/Windows hybrid environment and network devices to coordinate and ensure changes through global network teams.
  • Support team members on regional/local projects and coordinate with helpline team(s) to provide information/SOPs and guidance about services delivered.
  • Support local departments with special requirements.
  • Deploy and empower the global security policy for all North American sites.
  • Coordinate with regional colleagues to bring new ideas/improvements in efficiency and find ways to standardize services and provide better customer care.
  • Other duties as determined by business needs.
