About The Position

The Senior Technical Editor - Quality Assurance Framework (QAF) utilizes skills to review and edit technical documentation for clarity, accuracy and consistently, working closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts. This position focuses on QAF. Responsibilities are, but are not limited to: Technical Editor specifically: Review and edit technical documentation submitted by owners, developers, and stakeholders. Ensure technical documentation clarity and accuracy. Ensure that style and format conform to agency publication standards and prescribed style guides. Amend draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to ensure the content supports and is consistent with the accompanying text. Ensure proper classification markings in accordance with IC guidance. Work with authors to revise products for narrative organization, and further revisions as needed. QAF specifically: Collaborate with the QAF team to review and edit QAF documentation, policy, and other documents. Ensure all documentation is properly formatted, styled, and organized to meet the QAF requirements. Collaborate with QAF Tean to develop and maintain guidance for technical documentation. Collaborate with QAF Team to develop and maintain templates for technical documentation, including QAF, policy and other documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 17 years of experience or Master's degree with a minimum of 12 years of work experience.
  • Exceptional technical writing and editing skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of relevant technical concepts and terminology,
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Capacity to adapt to changing situations to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with users and stakeholders.
  • This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a CI Poly, US Citizenship is required to hold this clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience working in the customer environment is preferred.
